Quality Environment
Environment plays a key role in a person's ability to avoid relapse. A halfway house serves to provide an atmosphere that makes it possible for a resident to concentrate on their primary objective - recovery.

Professional Help
Once released from a treatment facility it can take very little to trigger the desire to use drugs or drink. Well-meaning family members can be supportive but cannot provide the tools needed for their loved one to become responsible or remain sober.

Support
Living in a halfway house can provide a supportive environment that offers a sense of security. Group counseling sessions and services focused on the individual can address issues that could hinder sobriety.
